It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Melvin “Clayton” Flett on April 22, 2024, at his home in Birch River, Manitoba.

Clayton is predeceased by his mother, Bertha Delaronde-Flett and father Rodrick Flett. twin daughters, Morgan Elaine Flett-O’Neill & Madison Mary Flett -O’Neill, eight brothers, Lloyd Flett, Clarence Flett, Gordon Flett, Larry Flett, Lorne Flett, Leonard Flett, Eddie Flett, and Melvin Flett, sister Lorna Flett. grandparents Daniel and Elizabeth Delaronde & Duncan and Martha Flett. 

Clayton is survived by his beloved children; Jonathon Alexander Munro-Flett, Jacob Rodrick Scott-Flett, Raenor Kathryn Spence, Madison Reid Spence, Brendan Michael Flett, Alexander Nicholas Flett, Brittney Taylor-Vaughn Ledoux, Hailey Emma-Jane Ledoux, Clayton Melvin Flett, Waylon Jason Flett, William Lloyd Marlow Flett, Jackson Markus Flett, grandchildren; Rieder Johnny Alexander Nikko Munro and M’Taya Debra-Lizette Agnes Munro, brothers; Joe (Charmaine) Flett, David Flett, Darryl (Sandra) Flett, sisters; Bernice (James) Paterson, and Brenda Flett. 

Clayton had many special cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as many nephews and nieces who he cared for, was devoted to, and loved immensely.

Clayton has called many places home but spent most of his life in Birch River. He grew up playing hockey, which he continued to love as he got older. Loved spending time with his family, especially with his mother. He experienced fond memories together with his family as often as he could at his mother’s place, playing cards and visiting. He deeply loved his children, and he will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
